Get out after holding up your end of the deal, and go to school. I'm torn on this. You get BAH that you're authorized but you're also unemployed and should be allowed unemployment. This reads to vague for me to make an honest opinion of it. I hope someone with more familiarity will speak on this. From what I see, along with your 214, you're still getting this.

SSG Warren Swan this is a travesty, I tell you its hard being a Veteran in the Civilian world sometimes. We can not catch a break. Where are the policy makers in Congress on this one.

Every state is indeed different with unemployment pay and GI Bill. NY doesn't care. VA will cut you off quick.

SGT (Join to see) thanks for pointing that out (diversity) in every state. It pays to know the regulation first hand sometimes.

SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL - I don't think a lot of people in such organizations know those answers. It took VA and a NY DOL rep weeks and days respectively to figure it out.

That is interesting but unfortunately not surprising SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL that Department of Labor (DOL) officials moved to cut off unemployment checks for veterans attending college on the GI Bill since lawmakers quietly approved the cost-cutting move last December.
Hopefully the news is well publicized since it was included in last years National Defense Authorization Act. I hope that DOL won't push to have unemployment checks that wee issued in January and February collected back. I expect they will since that is the process that social security used after somebody des - collect back funds proportionate to the date somebody who was collecting Social Security died.
