I always get a kick out of "outrage" by the christian right about these kinds of cases. They claim there is nothing wrong with it. But if their little Johnny came home from school one day and quoted an unfamiliar religious quote, and the parent asked "where is that from Johnny?" And Johnny said "the koran--it's painted on the wall at school" they would crap their pants.

LTC (Join to see) - a guy who had pressed for prayer at school football games went to a game in Hawaii and was ecstatic to hear that there would be an invocation before the game--until they started reciting a Buddhist prayer, because a majority of the students were Buddhist. He was horrified and since then has fought to keep religion out of school. You see, he was all for Christian prayer, but he was appalled at the Buddhist prayer.

Matt Dillahunty told a story about a school district that changed it's policy to allow a nearby church to send material home with the students. It worked fine until the Satanist Temple sent some coloring books home with the students. I'm sure you can imagine the reaction of the parents...

Yes removing the Bible reference should have sufficed.

MSgt Danny Hope - the Constitution and the judiciary are there to protect the 1, not the 39. It doesn't matter if the majority is Christian, Muslim, or Satanist, they don't get to use the government to endorse their views.

SGT Gregory Lawritson - yeah, I don't worry too much over threats from a being for which there is no evidence.

Capt Gregory Prickett - And whom if even if he did exist, I absolutely wouldn't worship due his absolute barbarism and depravity. According to the Bible, your loving, kind, all-knowing and benevolent god killed millions of innocent men, women and children, in fact he killed ALL OF THEM except for some guy named Noah and his immediate family, after which he condoned incest to repopulate the planet with the same creatures that were so bad he had to wipe us out.

Not the slightest bit worthy of my respect, let alone worship.
