New threat to the US? China's navy in overdrive. (Newsflash)

This short news video comments on the very recent show of force by the Chinese navy, when it put into service three big naval vessels, all at the same ceremony, in a single day. A 09-IV submarine, a 055 destroyer and a 075 LHD ship were all commissioned. The video goes a bit into detail on each of the three, and puts the event into a broader context.

And you really expect that the Chinese high naval command actually knows how to use them??? LOL!! The 3rd Sino War in 1979 was the last conflict China was in. FYI, they got their butt kicked so bad that they declared victory and went home.

Randy - the first step of getting your ass whipped in a fight is assuming your opponent is an idiot. Hubris is what allowed the continental army to defeat the British army and navy. Hubris is what allowed the VC to defeat both the French and the United States in Vietnam. Hubris is what allowed the Afghan fighters to defeat the Soviet Union.
Assuming your opponent is incompetent, or stupid, is a fatal flaw. How you made SFC in the Infantry boggles my mind. Because it definitely is not tactical proficiency.
For the record, every Navy of the free worlds tactical doctrine is available online, every exercise conducted at sea is monitored by satallites, every large scale training event has shadows who gather intel - everything that we do to monitor them, they also, do to monitor us, and have done so for years.

They can remove the question mark in the head line they’ve been working this since the early 2000s, undeterred and unapologetic. They started by buying up all the open market steel.
