New VA claims process promises decisions within 30 days

I got the initial decision in a reasonable amount of time, but I disagree with it. I don't accept their effective date. I appealed. They told me it will take 377 days to get another decision.
What needs a change is how officers who got severance pay at RELAD will not get any disability compensation until the equivalent of the severance is matched. With the current system, I will be 71 before I get a penny. It's not a lot of money per month. I just want to start a Health Savings Account now so I can save money to use it later when I really did it.
