Well, if you want a free tablet then go to prison. This has nothing to do with a lack of care for veterans.
Taxpayers aren't paying for this. This is provided by a company that handles commissary fund payments for prisoners, manages probation payments, and provides other jail services. Also, inmates have to pay this company to use services provided on this tablet.
