To paraphrase Judge Judy, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck chances are it's a duck.

Interesting PFC (Join to see). At least it was a Member of the New Zealand Parliament and not the Prime Minister.
Since Senator Joseph McCarthy was ridiculed by the left-leaning media in the 1950s, Congress has steered clear of public investigations into communist support. That is now DHS territory for investigation.
We have had our criminals in Congress far too many times - generally FBI.
Here is a list of members of Congress who have been convicted of crimes this century.
2017: Corrine Brown (D-FL) Convicted of 18 charges, including conspiracy, mail fraud, wire fraud, scheme to conceal material facts, obstruction of IRS laws and tax fraud

Chaka Fattah (D-PA) Convicted of 23 counts of racketeering, fraud, and other corruption charges
Dennis Hastert (R-IL, Speaker of the House) Pleaded guilty to Illegal bank transactions in payment of $3.5 million to quash allegations of sexual misconduct with a student when Hastert was a high school teacher and coach
2015

2013

PFC (Join to see) - FYI as you may remember, Senator Joseph McCarthy was largely correct in his understanding of communist infiltration. One of his allies was Ronald Reagan who became President in 1981 after rooting out communists in Hollywood during the 1950s.
Communism was poplar in colleges and universities in the 1920s in both the USA and UK which is where many of the famous traitors first were introduced and brought into service of the USSR.
After the wall came down, and the documents were declassified we were able to learn much more about the level of communist infiltration into our government.

For a time yes sir he was until Senator McCarthy wanted to go after actors and actresses that he felt had communist relations some of whom were friends of Ronald Reagan and that's where he had to oppose McCarthy there because it did start out noble but it turned into a damned witch hunt that needed to stop and very few communist spies were actually discovered because of the McCarthy hearings
