Nicholson Nominated as Next Afghan War Head

WASHINGTON — The Pentagon has nominated Lt. Gen. John W. "Mick" Nicholson as its next commander of Operation Resolute Support, the ongoing US operation in Afghanistan.

If confirmed, Nicholson would replace Gen. John Campbell in the role.
