My humor comment wasn't meant as an insult towards you but an acknowledgement by me that this article represents the typical exaggeration by 2nd Amendment gun enthusiasts. This debate about taking firearms from individuals identified as a threat of harm to themselves or others is a well documented argument. Temporary confiscation and restraining order that is approved by a judge based on probable cause evidence presented by law enforcement is a growing trend. As a women's issue, if there is an indicator of abuse in a relationship that is documented and substantiated by witness testimony, imagine the individual being abused requesting one of these special court order warrants that could remove firearms from that home. The counter argument would be allow the one being abused to have access to firearms in order to use it and hope they can convince the law it was self-defense. That hasn't worked out well for a number of women who have killed their alleged abuser. Thanks again for the share.
