I say if they don't want to fly the flag then the government should stop giving them any federal assistance. See how fast those flags go up.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this story yesterday.
First, flying the flag at half staff has meaning and, in my opinion, should not be done for the sake of conversation. Second, why didn't the individual(s) who burned the flag get into trouble. Bottom line is that the flag belonged to the school thus making it school property. Are we teaching the youth of today that it is okay to damage property without repercussion? I'm all for Free Speech, but some of the stuff going on is mind-blowing.
