Might have something to do with the refineries that closed in 2020:

Ran across this. Interesting concept. I think smaller refineries at oil production areas has a lot of merit. This gives you an idea how onerous it is just to get through the litigation process. They kept the capacity low to avoid the federal permits and legal challenges. The same folks that fight refineries are the ones that complain about food desert’s etc. I guess pixie dust works hen shipping food? https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidblackmon/2020/07/25/first-new-us-oil-refinery-since-1977-targets-bakken-shale-crude/

Assemble a group of like minded people, invest your capital, and build one…otherwise you’re just whining for someone else to solve the problem and that’s unAmerican

SFC Thomas Foreman - I am doing something about the problem. I am raising awareness and engaging you. So what are you doing?

LTC David Brown I am aware you don’t like change in any respect and are vehemently opposed to anything that doesn’t benefit you personally. So you can stop raising awareness, we all know.

As for what I’m doing? Lots of shit. I don’t need the rally point points for broadcasting it though. Be wary the man who prays loudly in the public square, y’know?

SFC Thomas Foreman - you know absolutely NOTHING about me so your speculation is limited and worthless. If you are getting into judging others read your Bible a little more closely, y’know?

LTC David Brown you don’ know me! Whateva! Whateva!

I can infer a lot from what I see on here…no one of it is good…mostly a bitter old man, like so many others here, who doesn’t understand where the world is going and wants it to stop for his comfort…

Strange reference. Last refinery with significant down stream capacity came on line in 1977. I suppose there are many smaller that lack significance for our needs. Nice comment.

What makes the reference strange? All you have to do is Google, “when was the last refinery built in the US”.
Easy to find, easily verifiable.
