No Plans to Open West Coast Boot Camp to Women, Top Marine Says

I just read Capt Jack Durish post about having more women than men in the military, then I read my email and this story was at the top of the list on Military.com, so it wouldn’t bother me, but I doubt it. No offense intended, but it’s still a good old boy Military in the U.S.

There has always only been one bootcamp for women ... Parris Island. Which is also the only bootcamp for men :-)

GySgt John Olson i was supposed to go to San Diego but specified Parris Island in my enlistment contract... family tradition you see.

I did ITR at Camp San Onofre in the shadow of Mt Motherfucker.

GySgt John Olson would the Marine Corps, in it’s infinite wisdom, waste a resource like MMF with so many eager young bodies waiting to be broken so close at hand?

Several times... once with an 81 mortat baseplate... the whole time thanking God it wasn’t the bipod.

Sgt Wayne Wood - The Marine Corps in it's infinite wisdom let a bunch of Army Paratroopers use MMF. Interesting that is what I was trying to remember the other day when commenting about the women going to Camp Pendleton.
