The US is being unnecessarily provocative concerning Ukraine and blatantly reckless regarding Syria. The Ukrainians made their bed along time ago with Russia and their joint base in Crimea. Recently Ukraine accepted tens of billions of dollars from Russia in financial assistance at a time when the US and EU were unwilling to invest. After that the Ukrainians wanted to stiff Russia and cozy up to the EU. Who can blame Russia for protecting their investment?
The US and EU should have worked out a deal back in 2013 to help Ukraine wean off of Russia. But we didn't. Now we should make it clear to everyone involved that we understand Russia's interest in Ukraine. But that we will not tolerate any adventures past the Ukraine border. We will also monitor for human rights abuses. But, we should avoid at all costs making the same blunder that we have in Syria.

Cpl Mark A. Morris - My family was from Galicia and were Russians. Russia has always needed Ukraine, but I dont think the Ukrainians need Russia.

Cpl Mark A. Morris - Galicia was a kingdom straddling Ukraine and Poland. My great-grandparents were born there in the 1800's. They were Russian. It was a big melting pot of Eastern Slavs.
