We really need China's influence with NK, if they still have any. It's obvious Kim is trying to get nukes and the recent tests just confirm it. The recent test achieved approx. 1700 miles in altitude and some estimate that this could reach Alaska. Getting the warhead is their next challenge. Nothing we've tried so far has seemed to work and China will do all they can to preserve NK as a buffer for their own border. They stated that they will not impose more sanctions because it may lead to NK having nothing to lose and trigger a war. Not sure how much we can trust from China but there are no easy fixes for the issue. Europe is not looking so good either, and the GWOT effort continues but I think the NK issue is at the top of the list of Global concerns.

China has said that it does not have control of them and they recommend we try to sooth KJU to keep peace. At this point there is no peace with them to "keep". KJU has vowed our destruction and the situation is very unfortunate.

I have been reading up on this and yes, they need to work on getting the warhead mounted on the missile now, but this should never have gotten this far. Its one thing to impose sanctions, but at this point, it obviously is not working this time and I don't really think that the leader of that country cares all that much. He is bug nuts crazy.

An ICBM is supposed to be Inter Continental. 575 miles can hardly range Japan. Normally an ICBM would put its payload in orbit, many had multiple warheads which could be launched at several targets. NK has never had an atmospheric test and their underground tests are so small they hardly shake the ground. He will keep doing this until we whack him
