Many things can or will happen, a successor who is worse or better could roil on in, maybe even a military takeover. Even though many deaths might result it would be better in the long run for Korea to re-unite like Germany did. In the end the citizens of NK need to choose and choose well then just do it.

I could see regime collapse, followed by all those North Korean Refugees hitting the Chinese border, many of them ill with the Corona virus. Wonder what China would actually do?

I suspect if "regime" change is actually what is happening in N. Korea, the leader of the change, with the backing of the Military Generals, will assume Lil' Kim's roll as Supreme Leader lock, stock and barrel because the benefits of being such along with his associated retinue propping him up far outweigh joining the rest of the free world, and the common N. Korean man or woman be damned. One can only hope, if true, that the Country goes in a different direction.

PO1 John Johnson - They never had a Female leader before and if you look at all their key posts............not a single Female. So kind of like the Ferenghi on Star Trek in that respect. It's funny that Kim Un Songs Father said his older Brother was too girly to ever lead the country............h-h-h-h--m-m-m-m, wonder what was up with that? However that is the reason no attempt has been made on his life.
