I'd sent this into a post, I hadn't seen it mentioned on here before, I gather it never really went anywhere, which I could never really understand the reason for, quite frankly, it seemed a quite good platform, you know? I mean, I know it was from awhile back, I just always found the whole thing of genl aviation interest technically, that's all, enjoy....

Dragnet Jet Scene
Capt Daniel Goodman this plane has been used in a lot of movies. From Top Gun as the Mig 28, to Dragnet as the LAPD interceptor. So while it may not have seen widespread use as a military aircraft, it still holds a place in history.

Little correction: Both video's feature the F-5 Tiger II. The F-20 Tiger Shark had a single GE F-404 while the F-5 had two GE J-85's.

Nobody 2nd and 3rd world wanted to buy it since we did not use it. Its a great plane and I saw one donated to a Museum!

Gen Yeager felt it was a better all-around Fighter with a Higher Payload and faster rate of climb and Used existing In Stock engines... but "GD" were into too many Pockets in DC... I remember his Press conference when the Military decided not to to take it..
