My response to this post is one based on my age and my time in Service which was well before the computer, cyber ,high tech we now live in,I imagine if the men and women trained and doing these non combat roles are always operating in a non lethal environment then everything should be hunky dory, but we all know the best laid plans of mice and men go out the window during conflicts ,a fact shown clearly with the implementation of “The Doolittle boards “ prior to the Korean War when discipline and good order was curtailed by the civilian government’s fear the Military was too tough on new recruits ,those same recruits paid dearly in life and limb facing a determined and deadly foe, don’t know if this is an apples to oranges argument but my thoughts, this evening.
