NPR Battleground Map: Hillary Clinton Is Winning — And It's Not Close

Let me be 100 percent clear. I am not a big fan of Hillary Clinton, although my reasons are probably different from most of yours. I personally feel that she has flip flopped too much on the issues, is far too close to wall street and not close enough to main street, and is still too conservative on issues such as single payer health care or ending our overseas wars.

Since I don't live in a swing state, I will not vote for Clinton. However, if I were in a swing state, I could see no choice but to vote for her, just to stop Trump. Trump is a racist, misogynistic @sswipe who has no good policies, but a ton of hate for people of color such as myself. He is the worst presidential candidate to have ever run: the New York Times says as much.

The fact that Trump is looking less and less likely to win this election is good news. I can't wrap my head around why Trump is so popular here. He is a man who insulted the family of a bronze star winner, and before that called john McCain a coward, while he himself has never served a day in his life.

Although Clinton's victory will probably not result in too much progress in this country, at least we will not be taking the steps backwards we would under Donald Trump. In fact, some good may happen, such as the Supreme Court finally being at full strength again, and repealing terrible cases such as Citizens United and Heller vs. DC (which has resulted in 33,000 gun deaths a year.) Also, hopefully Clinton will raise the minimum wage, and form a strong base for a future national single payer healthcare program, publically funded college, and strident immigration reform.
