I have a little .22 revolver that I take to the range it is fun and the writer is correct it helps you concentrate on other aspects of your shooting and its cheaper to shoot

While I agree that .22 are great for practicing shooting skills, they are woefully underpowered for stopping a bad guy. Unless you are great at headshots, the .22 will do little damage and the bad guy may not even know he was shot. It’s goes against the entire “Shoot to stop” training that has been the hallmark of self defense over the last 30+ years.

22's, so fun and cheap to shoot, and it does put a hole in your body, no problem with me if used for defence, even a knife is good for defence. How big of a hole do you need, in the 60's we would use a 22 to slaughter our cow's and pigs, it works. My grandfather used a knife to kill the cows, it's placement that counts.
