As the Windy City experiences dramatic increases in violent crimes involving firearms, the Washington Examiner reports that Lightfoot was “told that the police union blames her for a lack of moral (sic) among the city’s law enforcement officials.” In an attempt to deflect criticism of her administration, the mayor decided to blame, you guessed it, gun laws.

@SSG John Stinson No one expects the mayors of Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Atlanta and other cities that allowed the rioters to freely riot and damage property to accept responsibility and rebuild their own city. Accepting responsibility is not a strong point of Democratic politicians.

Chicago/NYC form of population control, can’t imagine any other explanation for accepting the slaughter in these cities and other violet cities.

I see problems on both sides of this. As I have worked for 4 different incarnations of the same business and the difficult changes that occur, I recognized the my morale is up to me not the business I work for. Stop blaming the Mayor. The morale issue existed in Chicago prior to her arrival a little over a year ago as Mayor. The Mayor by the same token doesn't seem to understand the 2nd Amendment and how well gun control has worked where it has been instituted.

So she is the Mayor and can do a lot to stop the slaughter. A weak mayor who wants to blame others for the problems she faces. Regardless of what she inherited she is the boss now.
