Obama’s top generals are mostly white men. Could the system picking them change?

I personally think this is generating a problem where there is no problem. Demographically the ranks are represented accordingly. I served with and subordinate to all sort of races and both men and women. The military has become a social experiment under Obama just like it was under Clinton. How about this idea? Let the military manage itself and if they violate somebody's rights then we can let the civilian overseers step in. Until then, let them do what they do so well, train for war and kill the enemies of freedom.

I think you have to look at the overall population of Generals. Our force development system has no on ramp (except at accession), only an off ramp. Therefore, today's generals are the product of the policies of the past.
From my perspective, i don't think the system is rigged against minority men. Women on the other hand is a different story.
I do think that we should remove all demographic identifiers from evaluations and personnel documents at promotion boards to eliminate any potential bias.
