This is some amazingly cautious staff work. I would have fired a 2LT if he had given me this, without the second order of effects.... The time it took to make this plan, and to have it ready to implement 10 days before the inauguration just shows they were not ready to fight this plan.

As long as Trump gives mission type orders to Mattis and keeps out of (BHO/Clinton/LBJ) micro-managing, it will work.

Everything produced by the Obama administration would by default be discarded by the Trump team. Trump has promised a swift and brutal campaign that will “utterly destroy” the Islamic State . . . kinda sounds like shock and awe . . . which got us exactly where with respect to saddam hussein? Bombing Tora Bora back to the stone age . . . assuming it was not already there? The real question is not how great a noise the new president and his team can make with american firepower.
