I do agree that they should be held accountable, but I don't think private citizens suing a sovereign government is the way to do it. Not to mention how many lawsuits that would open the gates for against the United States government.

You are correct it does open the door, then again those nations will never pay and we would probably tell them to pound sand if they sued us.

This was passed in the House and the Senate, by over 90% I think. he can veto it and they will over turn his Veto. So there you go Obama finally got Congress to work together lmao.

So if a handful of private American citizens go into some foreign country and conduct a violent act, we as American taxpayers should be on the hook for any financial claims the victims make? Or should every victim of a misplaced drone strike or their survivors be able to sue the US?
