I don't see that happening, whether right or wrong. My concern is primarily Zika. The only infections so far have been brought in by people infected in by those from Zika infected countries. Viruses mutate and the return of thousands could prove to be a major mistake. I just read that my state is being given over a million for research, makes no sense. All that funding should go to major research companies that are already knowledgeable on the virus.

I've ask nearly 200 different people (both family members and friends) and have yet to find one that says they will be watching them. The sad truth is, with the inclusion of so many professional athletes, the games have lost their luster. Plus, they cost the host country/city far more than they earn. I say let them take place at the athletes own risk. But, I don't want any of these athletes coming back years later and say they want our tax dollar to support them the rest of their lives because of a debilitating illness they contracted "representing America" at these games. They've been forewarned of the problems. If they choose to go, it's on them.
