An investigation is underway into the apparent shooting death of a 1st Cavalry Division soldier, according to a Friday release from the Army.
Pvt. Kevin Paulino, 24, was killed in Peru, Indiana, on Wednesday, according to the release.
Paulino enlisted in May as an infantryman and had been assigned to 2nd Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood since September.

Another dead soldier under suspicious circumstances SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. I hope this is the last year we have two or more soldiers killed in the USA seemingly every week.
Hopefully the responsible party for the death of Pvt. Kevin Paulino will be apprehended soon.

Of course they are investigating a shooting death
Every death is investigated period ....
Some investigations are quick, clear and support a non criminal reason.
Others indicate criminal wrongdoing or self inflected
But an announcement that the death is being investigated is as informative and revealing as saying "some time tomorrow morning the sun will rise"
