His book "A Soldier's Life" is a must read for any serious military historian. He was a truly a humble man and won the hearts of his men. While I agree Patton overshadowed him, funny how Patton had to report to him. In the end, history will show that Gen, Bradley was an outstanding "strategic leader" while Patton never got beyond the tactical and operational levels of command.

LTC Thomas Tennant I agree with you 100%. General Bradley was level headed and didn't react in a lose canon way. Patton was a great Tactition he didn't have what it took for the political part of the job.

Loved Karl Malden's portrayal of the General in Patton. Showed his humility and concern for the Soldiers.
