Thanks for honoring General of the Army Omar Nelson Bradley SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
I had the privilege of seeing Omar Bradley in 1978 when he went back to West Point. I was part of the corps of cadets brigade pass-in-review in his honor. He was covered with an army grey blanket with the traditional gold and black stripes at the top. He seemed frail but his eyes were focused and I imagined he remembered when he was young and he marched around the plain so many times. The full dress grey uniforms we wore were the same as he wore as part of the USMA class of 1915. Here is a picture of cadet Omar Bradley.
Omar Nelson Bradley was a remarkable man who served his nation with distinction. During a war where captains were promoted to BG overnight, he kept his head and led with distinction and quiet fortitude.
I know that SGM David W. Carr LOM, DMSM MP SGT had the honor to be present that day as well and I am not sure if SFC William Farrell was there as well.

Bradley vigorously pursued the development of airborne forces and was instrumental in the development of the Officer Candidate School system that would produce thousands of officers during World War II.; General of the Army Omar Bradley, first Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, August 1949. This video was so much better being introduced by Walter Matthau! And I love the antique feel of the whole documentary.
