On This Day In History: Chocolate Was Introduced In Europe - On July 7, 1550 | Ancient Pages

Great day for chocolate lovers, oh that's every day !

Thank you for sharing my friend SGT (Join to see) and making us aware that on July 7, 1550 the Mexican chocolate drink was introduced to Europe. Of course many of know that Christopher Columbus [the Bain of benighted radical liberals and promotors of history light which is devoid of substance] introduced the cacao bean to Europe decades earlier.
I enjoyed chocolate for many decades until I learned from gastroenterologists that chocolate weakens the esophagus for those who have GERD back in 2008. Quitting chocolate was one of the more difficult food/drinks and other things to quit cold turkey.
For those who can eat or drink chocolate I hope you have many more decades of enjoyment.
