One Stop Center for veterans to get larger Waco home

Military veterans wanting to shoot a game of pool, receive counseling for service-related anxiety or get help landing a job can visit the Veterans One Stop Center in Waco. They will have more elbow room by Jan. 1 with the recent purchase of a building at 2020 LaSalle Ave.
The Heart of Texas Region MHMR spent $350,000 to buy the facility because in the almost three years since One Stop opened on Austin Avenue in January of 2013, it has seen the number of agencies wanting to provide services to veterans grow from eight to 12, and some are now sharing offices.
