I believe that Eagle should remain something for under age 18. There are plenty of different things adults can earn: Order of the Arrow (all levels), Woodbadge (all levels), leadership awards (DOM, Silver Beaver, SilverBuffalo), knots of all colors, and more. Harder for a kid to earn Eagle than an adult. Save Eagle for the boys. If Scouting's highest award isn't for the boys, it's for the birds.

I agree with your comment. It is harder for a kid to earn Eagle Scout than an adult.

1SG James Wise - To quote Johnny Carson, "I did not know that!" Although I have no desire to add Eagle Scout to my resume at this chapter, I whole heartedly support continuing education & training for adult leadership. I've worked alongside some graduates of the Wood Badge program: Great leaders. From their reviews of the program, I would endorse it.

Capt Mark Strobl , Thank you for your endorsement of Wood Badge. I'm getting ready to do Wood Badge this year before I move with my step-son to Boy Scouts and continue volunteering there, start a new job, move, and everything else that will take away free time next year. I've heard nothing but good about Wood Badge and look forward to it.

Adult leaders have Woodbadge, Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, and Silver Buffalo. I think Eagle Scout should remain an achievement for the youth.
