While technically correct in all aspects the pundit is a trifle one-sided in his perspective.

I’d like to know where he was during the ‘cold war’...

While trade competition doesn’t bother me, the author glosses over the naked aggression of Russia (Crimea, Georgia, Ukraine), China (Tibet, South/East China Sea), and Iran (Middle East, directly & indirectly).

Those who forget history etc etc...

Interesting site....Ask Korea is China is imperial. Ask Vietnam. Ask any who are not Han demographic. Not much of a myth. Remember, to be imperial, it is good for others to not look at you as imperial while you are taking over their country or industry.
