Operation: Agri=Vet seeks out unemployed, struggling, and homeless veterans and pairs them with gainful employment in the agricultural industry.
Veterans leaving active duty have a hard time adjusting to civilian life. We seek to help with two problems, the declining of Farmers and Agricultural workers, and the overwhelming unemployment and homelessness that plagues veterans. We strive to bring these two together and help Vets work and learn sustainable agriculture by establishing a non profit farm co-op and provide work opportunity and training.
These funds will be used for the establishment of the NPO, LLC and for the first year of recruitment and training, as well as money to pay for the services of any recruited Veterans into the program. Currently Agri-Vet is comprised of four volunteer staff members and two work sites.

Hopefully many veterans will be very interested in becoming Farmers and Agricultural workers.

This is a great program. The demand for food is growing exponentially and the number of farmers is decreasing. The talent military vets have with large equipment and planning makes them ideal to be partners in 21st Century Agriculture.

Why should we help? While reading a biography of Winston Churchill I came across a poem he quoted "The England of my heart is she, Long hoped, and long deferred, That ever promises to be, And ever breaks her word." He then asked, "Why should she always break her word to those who love her so well and defend her safety and honor with their lives?" Substitute "America" for "England" and his question applies to those who served US. That's why We the People have to step up and keep the promises that the government made on our behalf and has failed to keep
