Crusader was the first of the attrition battles where the Germans were allowed to expend precious fuel and supplies.

In Afghanistan I befriended and Italian soldier who was Alpine Soldier he spoke fluent Spanish to me so we were able to communicate and he gave me one of his Alpine covers and looks like German Afrika Corps Style hats.
