20 trillion in debt, our is infra-structure crumbling, our economy sux, deep divisions among the US citizens, illegal aliens out the butt, terrorism... hmm perhaps we should focus on our needs for a change.

MSgt Brian Potvin - I think constantly wasting money on uniforms is a ridiculous waste of tax dollars. Then to be doing for a foreign military is just insane.

SSG Pete Fleming - you're exactly right. We should all be in one kind of utility uniform. It would save us so much.

MSgt Brian Potvin - We were... As much as I think that is wasteful, I am more against us supplying a foreign military. We should not be in the nation building business, especially while ours is falling apart.

With the deepest respect for the lives that have been lost, and those who still serve there today. I spoke out against US troops being deployed to Afghanistan as soon as I learned of it. In my opinion the chances of history repeating itself there was too great. I firmly believe that we fielded a superior military to that of the Soviet Union. But to follow in their footsteps against the same force, seasoned and hardened on their own turf was a mistake in my opinion.
All these years later are we truly any closer to leaving having achieved our objectives. I find no fault with our military for this. I only see one possible outcome. That being when we finally leave Afghanistan, it will be much as we found it, still. And that truly will be a shame!
