"It's Trumps fault, it's Trumps fault". Until the Left quits blaming guns, quits pointing their collective fingers at Trump as if this type of moral decay hasn't been going on for years, quits giving the person responsible for the crime a free pass with respect to mental capacity, demographics, economics, race, gender, etc., etc., etc., and then blaming someone else for that person's actions, and have a heart to heart about personal responsibility, nothing's gonna change. The Left is partly responsible for this mess: Schools now teach divisiveness, and Politicians make millions in donations and votes by victimizing race, color, class, sex, disability, etc. Morality is "what you personally feel", "your morals are not my morals", and in order not to offend (God forbid) anyone's sensibilities, it's no longer taught. You guys wanted an "anything goes" society and have gone above and beyond to ensure it, and here we sit reaping the rewards. Why are you complaining? I'm not dumb enough to blame the Left en toto either, as I realize that the Right has quite a few things I would like to see changed as well, but then again, it's not the Right blaming Trump for all the world's problems.

Multiple attempted bombings, an attack on a synagogue, a mass shooting meant to happen at a black church... I don't recall a week this violent is quite a long time. I don't see any effort to bring the country together though, we are more divided than we were a month ago when we were more divided than we were a year ago... real news is called fake news and partisan polemics are confused with real news. If we don't begin working together, last week will become the new normal.

So much of the blame can be placed at the feet of those who purposely misrepresent or completely ignore facts in order to advance a personal agenda. These are the people who continue to "stir the pot". Still others form opinions from the information they receive, but are too ignorant or too lazy to research the FACTS. I agree with you, SSG Colwell that we MUST begin working together.

We may not all agree on the best way to get there, however I suspect that most of us want a country that offers liberty and justice to all as well as equal opportunity to every American.

Most of us want an orderly and well thought out immigration system that embraces the tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free... without creating a glut in the labor market that cripples the ability of working people to negotiate a good salary with their employers.

Most of us want a strong military able to protect American interests. Most of us want all rights articulated in the bill of rights protected... from freedom of speech and religion to the right to bear arms, we simply disagree sometimes on what that freedom really means.

Most of us want the environment protected, along with public lands and parks so that our children's children can enjoy the same unspoiled beauty we were able to enjoy.

I could go on and on.. however, I don't believe what we want for ourselves and our country is that different and if we would really work at working together, we could do great things.

And last week the New York Times had a piece of fiction that ended with the assassination of POTUS Trump. They are elitist phonies of the highest order and have done more than their share to sow the seeds of hate, discontent and racial turmoil in this country. Screw them...

Yup, I remember the "jokes" about Obama being assassinated and Obamas assassination depicted in a play. Sickening indeed.

My dad was career Air Force and retired in 1964. He made it a point to never publicly criticize a POTUS. He instilled that in me. I myself served from 1979 to 2005, that would entail every president from Carter to Bush. Some were better than others. In the military, the open contempt for the Commander in Chief started under Clinton. I heard many SNCOs and Field Grades openly criticize Clinton in the most derogatory terms. While not a fan of him, I stayed true to myself and bit my tongue. As much as we hate to admit it, civilian over site of the military is one of the hallmarks of our republic. It is what separates us from becoming a tin horn dictatorship. IMHO, the military works for the people of the United States, and the POTUS is our boss.
