Cynthia Croft - the only source of contention with that is that Elon Musk is not a big militarist in terms of he doesn't try to market his technology for the purposes of the military. It was made note of that when originally when Space X came out Contractors like Boeing and Lockheed Martin feared Elon Musk was trying to compete with them in general when in fact he had no interest in becoming a defense contractor and the only time he came to the Federal Government for Money was to gain the contract of using the Falcon 9 rockets to supply the ISS.

Wish I was about 50 years younger, would love doing this stuff. Only down side, and saw this with people who flew F/FB-111, when you apply for astronaut training and take an astronaut physical you play you bet your wings. If can't pass you get (or at least did) grounded.

It really cool times you served in though the SR71 program alone was just one of those things alone as a kid just filled me with wonder at the technological marvel of the USAF.
