"Beyond a Reasonable Doubt", is the standard that the prosecution has to meet. I'm not sure how I feel about what LA did with their 10-2 amendment.To be certain there will be the occasion when a Juror has an agenda, or is just ornery, or seeks notoriety by forcing a mistrial. There seems to Me to be an awful lot of these verdicts in a short time. Were I the Defendant in one of these cases, I'd be mad as hell. The Judges could stop it from happening by declaring a mistrial anyway, but that's legislating from the bench(Baaaaad)

Why would th DA review verdicts.... they are not in the role to do that... Doesn't a congressional oversight committee do that... or the defense attorney with an appeal process?

I think you are right. I think, after reading the article, it would seem the DA's office would only concern itself with current cases, after 2019 I think the article said.
