They were a no no when I went through, Instructor Training Course!

They were verboten when I went through and for the 6 years I taught at EOD School as well. As an instructor evaluator I wrote up excess verbal pauses. They distract from the message and when you see students counting them you know they are a problem.

When I went through AF Basic Instructor Course, these got us points docked on our speeches. Still to this day, I try my best to limit them!
