They won't budge. Even though people tell me that there is no voter fraud oh, I'm sure Democrats know that once these illegal aliens become American citizens, they will vote Democrat because of what Nancy Pelosi and her sympathetic stance is today.

So...please show me (a) any evidence of voter fraud and (b) how long it takes to become a citizen.

For B I’ll just say it. Need a green card and then 5 years residence followed by at least 6 month application (it takes longer)

If the dems grand plan is to open the floodgates, give everyone a green card, and then wait 6 years...well, you are accusing them of being idiots

Wait, I remember you from the other thread. My apologies if my tone comes across harsh at all. I will say that I was impressed with you’re decorum, sir. And I honestly can be convinced on other points. When it comes to immigration I have some experience working in the field.

But for the wall? I’m not a fan of the idea of having it across the entire border. Seems like a monumental waste. But targeted walls in specific places? Yeah. That makes a lot of sense.

What are you’re view points on that?

Sorry, I just read this thread now. I did not ignore you I just work 50 hours a week ups and I have a day off because I'm traveling to Pacific Northwest because I have drill this weekend. By the way, my mother used to do immigration work from 1960 to 1987 and she retired when did Immigration Reform Act approved by Congress and signed by President Reagan I think. It used to be 7 years that people have to wait before they could become a permanent resident or maybe an American citizen I'm not sure. That's what bugs me is everybody's rushing the fence with families, they know the loopholes and they don't get deported so easily or at all. I also read something yesterday that made me think differently that maybe Nancy Pelosi doesn't want the wall because she is a leftist versus a liberal. A liberal would leave and nationalism while a leftist believes in no borders. What do you think of this video?

I didn't see a video on the Texas Mexico border and there's no way you can build a wall when there are canyons and all kinds of natural obstacles. Yes, just build the border wall where you know people come through already.

Completely agree that we should build walls...where they are useful. I lived in San Diego for a few years. We had a wall at the border. Seemed logical to me then, seems logical to me now. But areas where people don't come through? No walls there. It'd be a huge waste of money, and it would also mean taking land from Americans. Again, logical. And as you point out on Texas border, it's not easy to make a Great Wall of America. Should have common sense solutions. Ask border patrol exactly where they need any new walls, and put money into fixing/upgrading what we already have. Easy.

As for the video, I don't think that any of it matters, TBH. I'm of the fairly firm belief that the only people who should have power are those that don't want it. I'm fairly radical in that I think that we should have *very* strict term limits. Come to congress, do two terms, and you are OUT. That's it. Two and done. No staying decades in politics. Get in some fresh blood. The people in power are out for themselves, and what they say is all to get their core base whipped up into a frenzy. But at the end of the day their only goal, for just about all of them, is staying in power to enrich themselves.

I am not sure about the list of assumptions and energy production.

I wonder how deep the walls go.
