Why is it some civilians can sit and hate the military or certain ethnicities in the military when they are ones that have fought in the past wars are the ones who FOUGHT AND DIED for us to have privileges and freedoms. They can criticize because they don't know what we cant tell them but yet can be so ignorant when it comes to a solider who gave the ultimate sacrifice.. I bet you one thing when it comes down to memorial day or veterans day they are the first ones to take off from work and go on vacation but don't appreciate the lives that have been lost...smh...I cant even begin to understand the pain this family is going through but you do have my prayers. R.I.P. Brother your efforts and sacrifice will not be in vain.

Well said SPC (Join to see). Know that these ones who booed the Gold Star family never served and are the first to criticize.

SFC William Farrell - I just don't understand why you would boo someone's family that is going through a hard time...had it been the other way around I bet those that booed would be feeling homicidal and ready to hurt people because of their pain...but then again...they did spit on Jesus so I guess that sin and hatred that existed over 2,000 years ago still exists...such a shame.

One better. Make every asshole on that plane who had an "issue" with the family fly to Dover, and escort ALL the remains off the planes to see what the cost of freedom really is. Force them to look at kids that won't see tomorrow, but you can. Then jeer if you want to. Glad I wasn't on that flight. This is why we're not taken seriously. RIP brother.

SPC (Join to see) - you are correct in what you say. No debating that. The clincher for me is that every casket on those flights is filmed as each SM is carried off (I cannot verify this, just a tid bit in a convo from an Airman who was at Dover). Having these self-righteous assclowns see their faces as they carry what gives them air to breathe would be an eye opener. In fact, I'd release the video if the families of the dead would allow it. Let everyone know "this is what you think of us"? "Next time you need to call someone up to save your ass, call 911. You might get someone on the phone that actually gives a shit".

SSG Warren Swan - I am a 92M which is mortuary affairs so this IS my job. Every soldier that has passed or been kia I would NEVER disrespect them because no matter how they perished just the fact that they took the oath that 98% of America WONT is enough for me. I agree that civilians should be more considerate and should be able to just know the life of that soldier. Regardless of that it pains me to know that people hate those that have served..it pains me even more to know people no longer pray and give condolences for Gold Star families. Respect has hit an all time low. But as I always say..God is still in control.

SPC (Join to see) - SPC, you have one MOS I KNOW I couldn't handle. I'm not even joking. I would spend day after day dying inside looking at these troops. I'd hope that I wouldn't get complacent to the job, but the internal pain would override it all. I hope I don't know ANY SM, that would desecrate another, and if I did, I'm done with you. God IS in control, but we might have to arrange meetings between these passengers and him.

SSG Warren Swan - AHAHAH I need that laugh today SSG. I am only able to do my job because God gives me the strength and fortitude to. Also I feel like a guardian when I see soldiers remains. When I see them I take time to say a slight prayer for the soldiers soul and for his/her family to find peace in the hard times ahead. This job WILL never be a job one should be complacent with, I know I am not. Being able to pray and stay connected to that soldier is what I will strive for. No family ever wants to get news that their loved one is gone, but when they do they need closure and time which are two things 92M's are glad to provide.
