I remember the "Greenham women" in the 80's. We'd drive by them on the way to the BX/Commissary. They were flabergasted when the USAFE gave the base back to the British. They didn't know what to do.

Not the first time we have seen a demonstration at an overseas or stateside base. I know it will not be the last either.
But seriously, what kind of Peace Demonstration runs a Mini Bus there and back for well, here it is: "A minibus organised by the Oxfordshire Peace Campaign leaves St Giles, Oxford, at 10.45am and Oxford railway station at 11am. Tickets are priced £8 and pre-booking is essential..."
I wonder if the demonstrators will be et by a Security Force or Tea and Crumpets? I remember being part of the Security force at Sub Base New London. We were armed with riot control sticks and backed up by Marines with Automatic Weapons.
BTW, £8 is about $10.50.
