Nancy should have retired with her reputation in tact. Hell, even I gave her credit for presiding over the "Rainbow Coalition" as no other could. She could truly herd cats and you have to respect a leader like that. Sadly, she returned for an encore and it simply isn't working this time. Some may argue that she lost her mojo. I tend to think that the cats turned feral during the brief interlude while the GOP held the majority in the House. She's even lost control of the journalists...

Pelosi has to put a smiley face on it, but the truth is the left-most portions of her caucus are sucking all of the air out of the room. And getting all of the media attention.
This is literally an exact reprise of the Tea Party coming into power in 2010. I expect the Progressive wing will have a similar paralyzing effect on legislation.

There is power, there is perceived power and then there is "I thought I had the power"!
We've been in office for 3 months?! Really? Where were they for the last 12 years? No matter how you slice it, both sides of the aisle are blind to the other side of the aisle now. She talks about her concerns as if it was the whole House's concerns. They aren't. And the flip is true. There is no middle ground now. "We have to pass it before you can find out what is in it" is the mentality...
