You are both missing the point, Nunes went to the possible subject of the investigation and briefed him, he did not, and still has not, briefed the members of his committee. No investigator should a even appear to he in the pocket of anyone that might be involved with the investigation, and Nunes appears to be in Trumps pocket because of Nunes own bizarre actions.
Nunes is not under a cloud because he or anyone talked to the Russian, he is under a cloud because he openly and clumsily let politics interfere with his duties.
