In British Columbia, we have the green party messing things up. They want to stop pipelines all together and prime minister Trudeau and the governor of Alberta are trying to convince them to give up the fight. They prefer to have no Pipeline and no economy they think they can save the Earth by not letting oil being shipped from Alberta and Saskatchewan through British Columbia to the Pacific Ocean. There is discussion about having the pipeline and an Alaska and having it shipped out on the US side of the baby cuz the green party is working with their Liberal Party to ban supertankers from coming into the bay. It's already happening in Canada. The extreme left is like trying to deal with Isis or the Borg from Star Trek. You can't deal with idiots like that. If they think Nancy Pelosi is too conservative, the shape of things to come means nothing but trouble in California.

The Alberta vs. B.C. pipeline fight. Now it's war: Opinion
The more obstacles and delays B.C. can throw at Kinder Morgan, the more money Alberta loses, writes Jen Gerson. And that's not money that's going into Rolexes and Caviar; it's cash that would go to hospitals and schools, to federal taxes and to economic revival.

Why leaving Canada makes sense for Alberta, and U.S. would likely welcome a new state
‘Right now, every man, woman and child in Alberta pay $6,000 more into the national budget than they get back. Alberta is the only province that is a net contributor’
