A new BRAC type list will lessen the blow of all of the massive expenditures on new weapon systems that are late and have cost overruns. It's time Congress figures this out.

If it were military leadership making closure decisions, I would be for this. Problem now is closures are based on political influence.

Which interestingly enough was exactly the same reason many bases were built in the 60s and then the states that got the most bases complained that they were getting the most cuts when they started the BRAC Game.
