Pentagon identifies Navy sailor killed in northern Iraq bomb blast

I lost my first sergeant to a vehicle born suicide bomber and it was a closed casket ceremony I missed it but it's sad that we lost our first sergeant in Afghanistan a week before he was supposed to come back home in 2009.

Earlier today I received the DoD casualty news emails which contained the basics SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL:
"DoD Identifies Navy Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.
Chief Petty Officer Jason C. Finan, 34, of Anaheim, California, died Oct. 20 in northern Iraq, of wounds sustained in an improvised explosive device blast.
He was assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Three."
