Nothing wrong with learning a trade. Higher education is a goal, not a mandate. Trade schools train you marketable skills that count as experience when applying for jobs.
Coming out of college with an education, but no experience can be a bar for a lot of employers, causing a rise in more menial jobs to get by, while the counterpart from a trade school is making close to 6 figure salaries right away.
Choose wisely.
