Pets are getting into their owners’ edibles and overdosing on cannabis

CBD is quite beneficial to dogs and cats. My old dog gets CBD drops in her food and it works very well for her. THC can be lethal to both and, while the lethal dose is relatively high, it can, has, and does happen. While there has never been a recorded human death to THC overdose there have been several pet deaths from it. Combine that with the toxicity of cacao to animals, as a very large percentage of edibles are usually in something chocolate and we compound that lethality, because the darker the chocolate, the more lethal it is to pets.
