Amazing what the survivors and the rest endured. I have read a very little and they were forced beyond limits that most us can't even imagine. A fast pace in sweltering heat, very little food and water, many suffering from malaria, malnutrition, injuries or other diseases, and if they could no longer walk they were beheaded or bludgeoned to death. He has quite a story to tell.
