Philippines curtails military exercises with U.S.

I am not surprised that for the first time in 34 years, the U.S. and Philippines will not hold the annual amphibious joint exercise PHIBLEX in 2017 SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL
I expect that the exercise may be rescheduled after (1) Donald Trump is sworn in as President; (2) James Mattis is Secretary of the Department of Defense (3) and we have a conservative Secretary of the Department of State who has no qualms about calling adherents of radical Islam including Wahhabi Islam enemies of the state that relations with the Philippines will improve dramatically.
