It’s always a good idea to watch your social media, but I think most military members don’t need to worry about “gaming the system.” The vast majority of people going through a MEB/PEB, more than anything, need to know how to verify their disabilities. As an example, if a soldier in the Army has Fibromyalgia, regulations require that a rheumatologist diagnose the condition for it to not meet retention standards. This is important since a physician might not refer someone to a rheumatologist to simply confirm a diagnosis they already made, but will likely be more inclined if the soldier informs them that it is needed for an MEB. It’s unfortunate that the process is so convoluted and I do wish they would operate it in a less adversarial manner.
